Just marked a piece of work with j'ai dit, droite- I said, right,...
juste de centre for right of centre noted last week.
I had "Je supporte Crystal Hôtel de luxe" a few years ago when I worked in London. Brilliant.
The old favourite j'ai joué dans la tasse finale reared its head yesterday!
My last marking of the year revealed this little gem, unseen by me before today- j'ai joué dans un gibier de football
As a goal-poacher?
J'aime le toast avec coincer (toast and jam I reckon!)
Have seen embouteillage and bouchon for jam too!
Last year I had this stonking combination: "Hier, j'ai scié un film et après, j'ai mangé une casserole".
A rather brutal evening I thought.
Ha Ha, quite.
Not quite the same but when attempting coq au vin in a GSCE exam one of my students said j'ai mangé un coq en ville.
BTW always glad to see this thread re-energised!
On last day of term I had ma soeur habite au sud polonais.
Is that soUTHERN pOLAND OR THE sOUTH pOLE?
Apologies for capitals!
It must have been the South Pole I reckon.
BTW what were your students doing to produce this on the last day of term?
MIne were doing dictionary skills!!!!!!!!!!
