How do you choose whether to use digital technologies in your lessons, and how do you choose which
technology to use? What criteria should be used while selecting a DT tool for a lesson?

The most obvious criterion is that it should enhance the lesson. That is a very subjective decision by the teacher, and different teachers would reach different conclusions about the same thing. I ask myself if I can get a point across better using digital technologies, or if it makes learning more interesting without detracting from it. If it just adds some fun bu tdoesn't teach them anything much, then I wouldn't use it, except, perhaps, at the end of term if I am up to date on the course.

What is the key outcome for the lesson?
What is the best way of achieving this?
What are the best resources to deliver this.
Sometimes IT is best, sometimes not.

Usually there are problems because this is not done!
