Desktop timer/ clock

Discussion in 'Primary' started by Michy84, Feb 10, 2011.

  1. Hi,
I have been hunting for a timer/ clock that could stay on my computer desktop and not need an internet connection. This would be used to show the children how much time they have left for activities, tidying up etc. All I can find is timers on websites that you have to open up in a new window. If anyone is after something like that, here are a couple...

Has anyone found anything for the desktop that they could share?
    Many thanks,
    Michelle

If you have a Smartboard then there's one in the Smart Notebook Gallery

  3. There's one in the tools section of the Promethian board too.

Try Cool Timer - it's great! You can set it to count down or up, you can choose a variety for alarms for it, it's free to download, you can set it at small size or full screen and - my favourite bit - you can set it to stay at the front of the screen, no matter what other programs are running - just tuck it away in the corner.

Also, I really like the marbles in the jar powerpoints. There are some to download on TES, and you can easily reset them to the amount of time you want.
