Hi, the department has received a donation of £2,500 from a local company, with the wish that t is used to pay for a trip for our students to expand their horizons.

Does any one have any ideas for decent Technology based trips - I was looking up the new designers exhibtion in London in July as a possibility.

we have a budget of around £150 a head

    Any ideas gratefully received

I did this for a few years. Train to london, drop off at Rotherhithe YHa, back into the capital to the OXO building, speak to designers at Black and Blum, then visit Suck UK next door for talk on designing products. Lunch then off to Joseph Joseph for a talk then into Allied Morrisons architects. Off to Hard Rock cafe for burger and dessert, off to Victoria to see Wicked.
Full english in the YHa then a thameside walk down to a Vitra shop for a talk from the managing director on classic furniture. Continue to the design museum then tube over to Seymour Powell for a talk by the designers. Back to Kings Cross for either Nandos or Pizza hut then train home.
We managed that for £120 a head....
