design and technology ----filing plastic (acrylic)

  1. I need help!
    I am a student teacher and have been asked to give a demo (on filing acrylic) to a class of year 8's.
    RM isnt really my strong point and i have an idea what to do but any tips would be greatly recieved.

    Filing plastics? you file metal, and cut plastics and; wood for that matter.

    as for the advice, don't forget health and safety seen many demos go t*ts up because of this. and if you use a polishing wheel add a bit of fairy liquid to the first stage to give it a good shine.
