Depressing comment on the radio

I heard a depressing comment from a parent on the radio this afternoon when they were discussing the inclusion of the English Bacc in the league tables. She said that her son had opted to do RS from the Humanities block and not History or Geography. She was concerned now that her son would now be considered a failure (or words to that effect, can't remember the exact words she used) because he hadn't done History or Geography.

If that is what parents are thinking then they are obviously going to steer their children away from RS and towards History or Geography :(
