Hiya, I have just found out that I was unsuccessful at interview in a post where I was up against a subject specialist for the LA (who wants to return to the classroom), a subject that the school in question was deemed to be a level 4 by OfSTED last year.... So I guess, in reality this decision was a no-brainer.... However, I was told that it was a tough decision between us. The head told me that in the end it boiled down to my answer on what my KS1 classroom would look like..... I talked about independent/collaborative/teacher led learning, effective role play/topic/creative curriculum, up-to-date appropriate displays that were a mixture of our work that we were proud of and learning resources, engaged pupils, a clear focus upon the subject area that they are working to improve (being careful to not hit any raw nerves). I'm sure that it will be obvious when pointed out to me - but what did I do wrong?
