Dear Theo...tight word limit on job application!

Discussion in 'Jobseekers' started by melabee, Jun 10, 2011.

  1. Hi Theo
I'm applying for a teaching assistant job and for the question 'what experience do you have that makes you a good fit for this role?' there is a maximum limit of 300 words.
I'm really struggling to say everything I want in that small a word limit. Do you think they're actually looking for a more 'bullet point' type answer, than an essay-style statement? I really want the job, but I'm worried about not getting enough information into that small a limit!
    Thanks for your help.

    Golly!
Tight's not the word for it . . . that's just under one page normal typing.
Personally, I would do an executive statement, or just bullet points as you say.
Make sure that you read the shortlisting clickables in the Welcome thread!
    Good luck.
