Dear Theo - Thanks!

  1. Hi Theo,
    Huge huge thanks.
After applying unsuccessfully for several SSA posts at my local school I applied to an ad in the paper at another school in the next town. I followed closely the format of your application letter/summary and was invited for interview.
To prep I went through the fab list of possible questions on the TA forum, every single one asked I'd already thought about.
I start in September! Am absolutely thrilled - it's my first job after 12.5 years child-rearing and a complete career change. I hope it'll be the start of a long time in teaching.
    You are a star! [*]

Not Theo with his much coveted 'shiny star' I'm afraid, but just wanted to say congratulations on gaining the post.

  3. I shall get on to that now, teaching is definitely where I would like to end up!
I do really feel as if I've fallen on my feet with this particular school. There's an amazing support system for the SEN staff, a mentoring structure and they're keen to put LSAs and SSAs through the GTP if that's how they want to progress their careers! Yes, I did pinch myself at that...
    Thanks again [IMG]
