Yes, some good (if pale!) points there by Lara.
I'll add mine:
Dear Theo- writing prospective letters to schools
TheoGriff. Member of the TES Careers Advice Service.
I do Application and Interview one-to-ones, and also contribute to the Job Application Seminars. We look at application letters, executive summaries and interviews, with practical exercises that people really appreciate.
I shall be doing the Moving into Headship or SLT seminar on Saturday 17th March.
Thank you Theo and Lara for your advice - I know I'm limiting my choices but it is my lot really at this point in my life!! I am however quite well placed for a few towns and a city so there are a good number of schools within reach. I guess, as you say, I need to be vigilant for job adverts, make my application top notch (I've been reading all the advice here...thanks again!) and be interview ready!! Easy peasy My plan then will be to sit in my Art job until they wheel me out ha ha!
