Dear Theo - positive spin on compromise agreement

Discussion in 'Jobseekers' started by choccyicecreamyum, Apr 30, 2011.

  1. Is there any way to put a positive spin on a compromise agreement I entered into in 2007. The reasons are too complicated to go into but I feel they take one look at this on my application form and it goes straight into the round file.

This is a difficult situation that you are in.
There is a large surplus of teachers at present; Heads are routinely receiving 100, 200 even 300 applications. There are fewer and fewer posts being advertised. It is a Buyer´s Market, and you are a Seller. And a Seller with a problem . . .
The best advice that I can give you is to e-mail Julia on advice@tsleducation.com and ask about meeting Prof Howson, or doing a telephone consultation with him.
    Best wishes

I do Application and Interview one-to-ones, and also contribute to the Job Application Workshops. We look at application letters, executive summaries and interviews, with practical exercises that people really appreciate.
By popular demand! In response to Tessers e-mailing in: another Job Seminar now on Saturday 14th May:
The next Moving onto Leadship seminar is Sunday 15th May.
E-mail Julia on advice@tsleducation.com for how to book a meeting with me personally.
    Look forward to seeing you!
  3. I'm intrigued...did your compromise agreement not come with a "gagging clause" forbidding you to talk about it? Cos mine did and so I don't even mention it and have got another post since signing it
