Dear Theo, I am currently applying for jobs where the application forms contain a space for information in support of my application, but give no guidance on how long this should be other than asking me to continue on an additional sheet 'if necessary'. I've come into teaching late, and have life experiences which I feel are relevant and have been including these alongside all of the skills I have acquired whilst training. As a result, my supporting statement is approaching three pages long. Is this too long, and will it put prospective schools off, please? I haven't included executive summaries up until now, but I'm intending to summarise my selling points into one, following your advice, to include alongside my forms.
