Dear Theo, new application, new questions!

    Hi Theo!
Hope you are well since I saw you at the Seminar (and too anyone reading this HIGHLY RECOMMENDED [IMG] )
    So
I am onto a new application, for what is a brand new community school,
and the application is a statement of support, and I am halfway through
    my Executive summary.
So, it has a job specification which I would
tailor my statement of support into paragraphs using knowledge and
skills etc. But, it says that in the statement of support you should
    say....
    1) Why you have applied for this post at our school.

    2) My philosophy of teaching and learning

    3) My expertise in my specialist subject area

    4) What I can offer to this brand new school.

Should I weave these 4 things into my statement of support, but
still set it out how it is supposed to be like knowledge and skills
etc. I just want to make sure I have the best possible chance for this
application, sounds like such a great opportunity.
I hope I have explained this properly although it may sound a bit confusing.
Thanks for your help Theo! [IMG]

    Hi there again Natalia!
I should go for their 4 categories in your statement of support:
with a very clear structure, headings as they say above. And remember: why you have applied has to be from their point of view, so you need to mix´'n ' match the bb and the usp so you have a first paragrapg that grabs them, you are so clearly what they need!
    Best wishes

  3. Great, that makes complete sense to me!!!
I am going to try and write the best application ever known to job seekers!
Hopefully my executive summary will cover everything that maybe my 4 paragraphs don't (the ES is helpfully broken into the knowledge and experience/skills and abilities)
This application is to be done physically, so I will be including a covering letter to go with it. Although I'm not sure how to approach the covering letter, but apart from that all is clear in my head. [IMG]
    Thanks Theo! [IMG]
