Howdy - long time reader, first time poster!

I've been working in the Academy where I finished my NQT year for 4 years now, and have decided it's time for a change. I'm heading to interview (thanks for your application tips!) on Tuesday, and I was wondering if you had any advice on how to impress a grammar school audience with only 4 years' experience at an Academy?

Also, to English teachers out there - any advice for teaching poetry? Am I being too adventurous in a 45-minute lesson to talk about the 'freedom' of poetry compared to prose?

    Cheers in advance!
