    Dear Theo,

Although I haven't posted here much, I have read all the advice and took much of it onboard. I am currently based in the USA and have been at the same school for the last 15 years, so my interviewing skills and CV needed some work. I decided to give International teaching a try and all the advice on this board and on the teaching overseas board has been valuable. Since I have a wife and dependents, and since I have a job I was already happy with, I was being a little picky as to school, location etc. I ended up applying to roughly 15-20 schools and got 6 interviews. Two of those interviews turned into definite offers and although I still have to hear back from one school, I decided to accept a job in Shanghai! My family and I are excited to start this new adventure.

I'm sorry I did not have much to contribute but I would like you all to know how very grateful I am to all of you. If it had not been for the mountains of good advice I read here I honestly do not think I would have landed a post this soon.

    Thanks again

    T

  4. May I second this please. Congratulations TDALEY on your exciting job in Shanghai, I saw your post on the teaching overseas forum.
I don't often post either, but I too found Theo's fantastic job advice from application to interview absolutely invaluable. Also I must mention Middlemarch whose mind mapping idea prepared me for my first job interview in 9 years which enabled me to secure my second international post for a job in SE Asia. So excited!
Only one job application, one job interview and I got the job! I keep pinching myself, but I know it is because of Theo and Middlemarch's excellent tips and advice that enabled me to achieve this wonderful outcome.
    Thank you Theo and Middlemarch

Wow, congratulations! Plus what a fantastic opportunity to travel and work at the same time!
Here's some ideas for some tipples to celebrate.
