Dear Theo - I got the job!

Discussion in 'Jobseekers' started by eliane, Mar 2, 2012.

  1. Hi Everyone,
Thanks to all the wonderful advice and support, I was offered a 2nd in English job this afternoon! I was the only candidate interviewed so I owe most of the thanks to all the application advice.
Something that really impressed them that might help those of you trying to plan interview lessons:
Read the OFSTED report to see what the school's strengths and weaknesses are - then try to incorporate this into the lesson (mine was all about higher expectations and explicit assessment criteria to aid progress).
    Thanks again!

    Super, super, super!
Now read this and Bump it:
Got a Job Offer? What to do now . . .
*** Do read it - very important to get everything right! ***
And a Deputy HoD too - that's just great! PLUS a nice helpful tip for others! What a great post from you.
    Best wishes

I do Application and Interview one-to-ones, and also contribute to the Job Application Seminars. We look at application letters, executive summaries and interviews, with practical exercises that people really appreciate.
I shall be doing the Moving into Headship or SLT seminar on Saturday 17th March.
