Dear Theo... I got the job!

I didn't get the job I interviewed for... but they have another post starting in October; it's a part-time maternity cover and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will *hopefully* be enough to finish my NQT year off!
For anyone who hasn't been to visit Theo at TES Towers for interview coaching and application advice I would thoroughly recommend it (unless you're planning on applying for the same jobs as me next year!). As I said to Theo, I think I probably would have given up on teaching by now if I hadn't been for the excellent advice I received and the fact that after I took Theo's advice I started to get more interviews.
When I get paid I think I'm going to buy some of these to celebrate! Strictly for non-school/ non-interview wear of course! <img alt=" />

Well I don't know exactly what job you have got, but I'm teaching year 2 in September and I think I could definitely wear these to school. Not and interview for sure, I have a lovely pair of plain black and another of plain nude (winter and summer you see) for interviews. And the shoes are on sale as well....Cannot believe you posted a link!!! So cruel.

Oh and well done about the job. You might not need to worry about interviews next year, sometimes maternity covers turn into permanent posts....fingers crossed for you.

Grrrr went to buy those shoes and none left in my size!!!

Thank you! I mainly posted the shoes for Theo as when I went to see him he said I needed to get new shoes as mine were more for a disco than an interview! I have to wear orthotic insoles if I'm going to stand all day so I could never wear them for school unfortunately, I now have two pairs of plain M&S shoes for interviews (it's very difficult to get good quality shoes if you're vegetarian!) which go with my suits. You can sometimes find Irregular Choice shoes on Ebay or other websites even after your size has sold out on their site!

    Super, super, super!
I knew EXACTLY why you posted those shoes! Well, I do think it's my duty to point out to you where you might be going wrong in the fashion stakes . . .
This is just great news, and I know from your private message to me that it's a great school, ideally situated, and they already love you to bits, I'm sure.
Whatever shoes you wear to school.

LOVE the shoes, but couldn't trust myself with them being fabric! [IMG]
Huge Congrats on the new job! I've seen a late bloomer today and if I get it (or even an interview ATM!) I'm going to scream with delight. Hope the post goes brilliantly and you get a wonderful reference for next year xx

Thank you Theo! I think I may give the Minnie Mouse slippers a miss though.
Thank you! I thought of you just now as there was a job on the front page when I logged in that I thought you might be able to apply for - it's probably the same one actually! Good luck with the application/ potential interview!
