Rather a shock actually! Just when I thought I should give up- a phone call out of the blue! I had been writing application after application, and being an OTT without QTS, I was limited to independent/academy schools only. I applied for a position earlier in the year and heard nothing from it. Months passed, more applications were written and I thought I was ready for the scrap heap. Then I joined an agency. They arranged for an interview at my number one choice of school. They offered it to me on the spot, I accepted and now I'm on the way to teaching a lovely class in Sept! Not only that, the school is 'buying' me off the agency book and making my contract permanent. Bliss! Moral: Don't give up guys, teachers on M6 do get jobs! Sparkly star?
