Dear Theo I got the job!

Discussion in 'Jobseekers' started by shabana123, May 23, 2011.

  1. I can't believe that I got the job. The interview was tough and I start very soon after half term. Are there any tips that you could give me starting the post so near the end of the year? Should I implement y own rules and routines or continue with those that children are famliar with?

    Congratulations on the new post!
As to starting after half-term, you need to start establishing yourself as soon as you get there. If you are too easy, when next Sept comes you might have given students the wrong impression. We've always been told 'Start as you mean to go on, even if only there for one day on supply initially'. Good advice.

    Super, super, super!

Best of luck for that nice early start - better than hanging around waiting for September!
