Dear Theo How long a wait????

Ok so applied for three jobs. two state and one independent.

Closing dates as follows:

1 state - Midday today
1 state - today
1 independent - Midday tomorrow

How long am I going to have to wait to find out if I have an interview do you think?

I know it could be a piece of string.

Also, do you think I will have missed the boat because I submitted application form for state twice - wanted to add more info.

I really want one of the state ones and heard there is an internal (but will shut up about that and go in all guns blazing anyway)

They will want to interview before half term . . . that's all I can say. People have to give in their notice by 28 February, so it will be interviews beforew half term.
Fingers crossed - I;m hoping for that new thread called Dear Theo - I got that job!

All three jobs are for a September start so I don't know if there will be such a sense of urgency.
So scared about potentially not getting an interview. Really want a HoD job.

Sorry I can't help with your query - but I'd also like to know how long is "normal" to wait after the closing date.
And now that applications are done online, do we still get letters inviting us to interview? Or is it by email, phone etc?

Ok so....The independent school were shortlisting after school and informing tomorrow. One of the state schools shortlisting this afternoon - so probably not been shortlisted. Would have expected a phone call after school. The other state school I have NO idea!

I just want to be a HoD in one of these schools PLEASE!
