Dear Theo - Forest School interview advice

Discussion in 'Jobseekers' started by boakleesk, Jun 10, 2011.

  1. Hi,
I have an interview on Monday at a Forest school, I have to do a 30 minute session for 15 FS children in the morning then I have my interview in the afternoon, also have to have lunch with the staff. My teaching session has to be outside the normal learning environment - ie Forest school style, my question is what should I wear? Should I wear jeans, boots, over trousers in the morning then get changed? Or should I wear my interview suit all day? I want to look the part as it is an interview but on the other hand I don't want to be scrabling around on the ground getting filthy in my interview clothes.
    What do you think?

    How interesting!
I didn't know that we had these in the UK - thought they were all in Denmark etc. Live and learn!
I suggest that you treat this as if you were a PE teacher. Arrive dressed smartly with a kit bag (including a coat hanger). Change into suitablecasual clothes, then vchange back for the formal part.
    Best of luck!
