I am in my third year of a BEd and therefore looking for an NQT teaching position for September. I have sent in one application so far (after visiting the school) and didn't get shortlisted. I have also applied to two teaching pools and am currently waiting to hear. It is early days but I want to get my applications up to scratch for getting the job I want. I am considering including an executive summary in my next application. I am presuming from advice on your posts that it is just as appropriate for an NQT to include a summary or is this not so? This seems like a silly question but where should this go... under the letter of application and above the application form? (both of which have been asked for). Also, where the application form itself asks for "additional information" in relation to the person spec, is it appropriate here to fill it in with "please see covering letter/summary" or should you write something here too...and if so what? I don't want to repeat myself. Thanks in advance for your help. P.s. apologies for the lack of paragraphing. If anyone could tell me how to do it, it would be appreciated.
