dear theo - exec summary/whole school projects

Discussion in 'Jobseekers' started by leavinglondon, Apr 15, 2011.

  1. I am applying for a SLT role but need to have led a whole school project or initiative....does this include intoducing guided reading in my school and leading inset, doing team teaching if guided reading to support teachers in embedding this in their practice? I've also introduced big writing and other reading projects by the way these are some of their buying buttons but they seem frail in comparison to otyer initiatives i have heardof.

    2) how can i show the following on an executive summary for this primary school role?
    A) ability to relate to pupils and be firm but fair when responding to their needs.

    B) have excellent written and oral communication skills

C)prioritising to meet deadline and managing a diary (never managed a diary like and AHT/HT /DHT does but i do prioritise in my subject leadership role to meet tight deadline)

    Thanks for your help

Q1 Yes, all these seem to me to fit the bill.
Q2 A: Effective, warm yet professional relationships built with all pupils
B: Communicate effectively with pupils, colleagues and parents
C: Juggle conflicting home and professional demands successfully.
BUT: I'm not going to write any more exec summaries for you! Can´t spend all day doing this for posters . . . Mrs TG gets cross.
Come on 15 May if you are still job-hunting - see below!
