Firstly I suggest that you read the interview clickables inside the Welcome thread - one of them has some points specifically for TAs. I imagine that the CS role will have similar points in many ways. Then do a search here on the Forum for "student council" - that will let you see other people's experience. As for the marking - as soon as you get there, ask for a copy of the marking policy, so you know what to do. Bone up on Assessment for Learning over the weekend. Also ask them for any information that they may have on individual pupils, either academic or behavioural, so that you are aware. (And so that they know that you have thought of this!).
