Dear Theo Career Development in Headship

Discussion in 'Jobseekers' started by flame35, Mar 19, 2012.

  1. I am a Deputy Headteacher within the Primary Sector - I am currently
registering to sit my NPQH, I have a BA (hons) 2.1 Primary Education with
Enviromental Education with QTS. I am Scottish and I am considering moving
across the Border. My enquiry is two fold:

    1. Is it possible for me to continue my career as a Headteacher across the
    Border.
    2. Do I have to register with the GTC Scotland to apply for Headships.
    3. Is the NPQH qualification recognised with the Scottish Primary Sector.

Er . . . are you saying that you currently work in England, and wish to move to Scotland?
If so, I can tell you, in response to your triple enquiry, that I am afraid that I have no knowledge at all of the appointments or employment system in Scotland. I'm sorry to be so unhelpful!
May I suggest that you post these queries on the TES Scotland section of the website? If you just scroll down a bit and look on the left of the screen, you'll find the Scotland section. Ask on both Opinion (which will get more views) and Pay & Conditions (where it actually fits).
I hope that this will get you the answers that you need.
    Best wishes
