Dear Theo..Are you teaching abroad?

    I saw your post about poinsettas and was surprised to read that you are teaching in sunnier climes. I would love to do this! Have you been doing this for long and just how easy is it to get a job abroad? Are they yearly contracts? I am a linguist, but have no TEFL training.

    Ah . . .
    I migrate. One month here in sunnier climes, and one month in UK. More or less.
    While I am here I teach as a volunteer, unpaid, in a state school. Been doing it during my half-terms (when we were on holiday and not them) for about 7 or 8 years. Then when I retired switched to the pattern above.
    So not what you were thinking of!
    I suggest that you go and ask your question on the Teaching Overseas Forum, where they'll be able to give you excellent advice, I'm sure.

    Sounds like a great lifestyle. Am "well jell", as they say in Essex (but am from up North).
