Dear Theo, applying online through TES Wire

Discussion in 'Jobseekers' started by MademoiselleR, Feb 1, 2011.

  1. Dear Theo,
I am in the process of applying for a job and would like to do it through the online facility.
However, my understanding is that you can only submit one document - the application form - and no cover letter.
My question is re: relevant experience. I would useful submit a cover letter explaining all this. What format should I use to fill in this particular box? Was wondering if bullet points with full explanation/details were appropriate or whether to treat it as a letter.
    Thanks for your help!

    Oh dear!
I'm not going to be very helpful here as I don't know the HireWire format for applications. Can the boxes be expanded at will, or are they limited? I am very surprised that there is no way to have some sort of personal statement or letter of application, surely this is part of the application form?
The ideal situation would be if this relevant experience part of the form allowed you to include 2 pages of statement followed by 1 page executive summary.
    Best wishes

I just applied using hirewire onTES and thought I was saving a draft when i uploade, unfortunately I later learned that it would have been sent to the school i applied for. I emailed to0 explain it was my first time to use it.

To answer your question, you can only upload one document so you need to copy the application on to the front or end of your support letter and submit as one document.

    Hope this helps

    Good luck!
