Dear Theo: Application Letter and Form Question

Discussion in 'Jobseekers' started by Jimbo101, Feb 6, 2011.

  1. Dear Theo,
I am writing an application for a teaching job and am wondering how best to do this one. The application pack does not say anything about how to apply, apart from mentioning the application form. In the form it has two spaces for suitability (experience) and Interests (for extra-curricular). So my question is this:
How do I write my application letter?
My guess is to write a short covering letter and put the relevant bits I have already written about experience and interests into the correct places on the form. Would you agree?

    Thanks

Have you read the shortlisting clickables inside the Welcome thread? And the FAQs there?
They give general informatioin about writing applications.
In your particular case, I would put in the "suitability" space the executive summary in note form, your interests also in note form, and then write your application letter as normal, including the suitability stuff you put in note form on the form.
    Best wishes
