Dear Theo and others-management of change

Discussion in 'Jobseekers' started by kitty43, Mar 13, 2011.

1. Hi
I'm applying for a job that has asked me to include my views on the 'mamangement of change'. Can anyone give me some guidelines as to what they expect me to cover?

Thanks

Come on kitty43. Presumably this is for a post of responsibility?
In which case you need to be thinking,' What do I understand by 'management of change?'.Do some research, think what it might mean to you, ask colleagues already with TLRs etc.
I know what my understanding of it is, and if that's the case if you have to ask what it is, prehaps you're not ready to tackle it? That may sound a bit harsh, but it is tough out there at the moment and you need to be aware of the reality.

Just read your other thread wher you mention
"I'm presuming I talk about my previous ICT experience, which entailed a lot of change within the school." Exactly! So you've answered your own question. Makes me much more inclined to think youre ready to apply.

You will need to show how you took a lead in this. It's a Leadership post, I guess? Best wishes

6. It's not a leadership post, which is exactly what confused me. I was worried that I was missing out on some kind of new push in 'management of change' and had to be aware of it in a better way or from a new angle within teaching.
Thanks for your responses.
