Well I've finally managed to bag my first interview for a post teaching my subject (its taken me 4 years mind). It's in a 6th form college and from looking at the website for the place it looks like the first names of staff are used, now I'm secondary trained and thats where I've been d#teaching to date and I'm used to being called by my surname in interview lessons. Will I be expected to use my first name with the students as the rest of the staff do?

It's nothing to do with liking or disliking my first name being used, it's simply a case of what I'm used to and not used to.

The name thing is by the by as I didn't get the job.
