Dear Theo, addressing job spec

  1. Hi Theo,
    I have a question regarding the job application. This application states that all points in the
    person spec, which are numbered must be addressed, otherwise
    application disgarded.
    I'm doing my exec summary first, but a few
    points I haven't tried to address in previous applications so I was
    wondering about them
    point 1) An understanding of and commitment to the Borough's equal opportunities policy.
    point 2) A commitment to the school's stated aims.
    They are both things I know that would happen in the job, but actually to address these in an exec summary and the personal statement.

  2. oh dear, I just got confused between the criteria and job spec.
    Please ignore me. I am just trying to get this one done and not let it take as long as applications usually do!
    however, 2 different points I am abit confused on how to address
    point 1) Has excellent oral and written communication skills in a range of contexts.
    point 2) 10. Has a strong commitment to equality of opportunity in principle and practice.

  4. Theo, please ignore everything written. This job has bulked some pdf's together and I don't think made it very clear or helpful.
    I'm back to the original job spec which states -
    1) An understanding of and commitment to the Borough's equal opportunities policy.
    2) A commitment to the school's stated aims.
    How would one address these in the exuc summary, and statement of application. The job states that applications not addressing 1-10 will be disregarded.

    I have to tell you that I cannot, cannot, give everyone what they need to say for every bit of a spec.
    Or even for just some bits!
    I'd be here all day if I tried to do that, and Mrsoaning about lawn-mowingand potato-peeling and driving her to Waitrose . . .

    I am fully conversant with and support the B's Equal Opportunities Policy
    2) A commitment to the school's stated aims.
    The school's ethos reflects my own and I am thus fully commited to its aims
