Dear Stephen, I have a governor interview coming up

Discussion in 'Governors' started by Nigdntn, Jun 7, 2012.

  1. You could talk about why you want to become a governor.
Ask what the school requires from you.
Transferable skills ie what you can bring to the governing body.
If you like children talk about them!!
    Hope this helps a little.

  2. I'm sorry for the delay in replying as I imaging your interview will have happened by now. I would imagine that the governors will be seeking to establish what you can bring to the table, what skills and experience you have. They should also be seeking to give you information about the school. In effect it's a two way process, they are seeking whether you will be a valuable member of the team, but you should also be deciding whether this is a governing body you want to work with.
