Dear Sara/anyone - DfES number GTC Number - What is the difference?

Discussion in 'New teachers' started by amestar, Feb 28, 2009.

  1. I am currently looking for a new post- an application form I need to fill in this weekend is asking for a DfES number - which I cannot find a record of anywhere (I achieved QTS in November & I have started induction) and my GTC number - which I do have. Are they one in the same? Or do I need to find out my DfES number

    Any help gratefullt rec'd.

    Thank you

  2. I thought they were the same too as my QTS Cert and GTC card have the same number on and written the same.

  3. Yes they are exactly the same number. I rang the GTC with this query when applying for jobs and was told they are now exactly the same number.

  4. Yes, they are the same and look like this: **/*****

  5. Thank you everyone.

  6. hmmm... oh dear thats interesting...
