Dear Joe - changing exam board half way through

    I suggest you contact the exam boards yourself and ask for advice. It sounds as if your new pupil would be better off taking the Edexcel exam as he is in Year 13 and we are in May. If this cannot happen at your school, there will be a local centre where he will be able to take the exam, I'm sure.

    You probably have checked already with them, but it seems from the AQA website that he could transfer.

    It is fine for the boy to do A2 with a different board - we have just had the same problem and I rang the exam board who said you need to fill in a form by october 21st and fax to the JCQ which will transfer his points from AS. Cant remember exactly the name of the form but if you ring AQA they can tell you - or of course your exam officer may have the number.
