Cover supervising isn't teaching so it won't count for induction and it won't start the clock ticking on your sixteen months of supply.

Remember that the sixteen months starts from your first day of supply so don't do any before starting your new job! Otherwise, you'll have clocked up a year by the time your cover supervisor post ends.
  2. Hi
A cover suprevisor role is not a teaching role and as such does not qualify for induction. Nethjer does it qaulify as supply teaching, so the role will not start your induction clock ticking.

    Thanks : )
Don't mind so much about the NQT thing as long as the supply clock doesn't start ticking.
Feel much better about taking the job now.
