I am about to start two terms (hopefully) maternity cover. I have completed one term of my NQT with one LA and about to start with another. I will be teaching English, mostly at KS3, although my PGCE is in another subject.

Is this going to affect my induction - will I have to do anything extra? Do I take me folder in on the first day?

  2. Hi it will not affect your induction in any way. Make sure that you are registered with the LA and remember that although you are teaching a subject in which you have not trained there is no allowance for this when meeting the induction standards. It is a good idea to take in any evidence or portfolio you have. The LA will contact your previous LA to have your induction records transferred. James
