Dear James - termly assessment

Discussion in 'NQTs and new teachers' started by irishpsychic, Mar 14, 2011.

  1. I know we have to do 189 days, and can have upto 29; but is there a set amount per term we have to work for the term to be written up, as |I think that I will be classed as failing again this term, as I'm not making relationships with the pupils (teaching science to over 20 groups a fortnight, 650 pupil)
I have to leave at the end of this term as it is, and would like to ignore this term, so I have 2 more terms to do.
At what stage is enough time made that the term count?

  2. If you voluntarily leave your job you are not entitled to state benefits for... last I heard, it was about 6 months.

I'm not sure whether they'd take into account the fact that you would have become unemployed at the end of the term anyway. At best I'd say they'd give you nothing until the end of the term, at worst, they'd strike you off for six months.
