Dear James: school becoming an academy

Discussion in 'New teachers' started by James_Williams, Jan 5, 2011.

  1. No, your induction should continue on the same basis with the reduction, mentor and support and you complete as normal.
You were probably employed by the school (technically the govenors) but many schools outsource their employment functions to LAs so your payslip etc may be an LA one. Yopur contract of employment will definitively tell you who your employer is.
Possibly (probably) it will depend on your employer only they can answer what hgappens in the future and what their plans are and what they have negotiated locally.
    James
