Dear James - my first NQT post

Discussion in 'Trainee and student teachers' started by Jools1808, Apr 30, 2011.

  1. Dear James,
I have just accepted a role at a junior school, starting in September. I have a question, which I hope you will be able to help me with.
The school were unable to tell me which year group I will be teaching, as they will be having a staff re-shuffle. I have a preference for lower ks2, but is it acceptable for me to let the school know this and if so, when would you advise I do this? (I will be writing my acceptance letter on Monday).
    Thank you for your advice.

  2. Sorry just back after a bank holiday. I thionk that there is no harm in stating a preference but also that you are willing to teach any aspect of KS2.
    James
