Dear James, GTP as student teachers?

Dear James, or anyone else that might know,
Are GTPs classed as student teachers or unqualified teachers (if funded by the TDA)? Or both? Student teachers seem to be afforded certain rights that unqualified teachers are not, so I was just curious...
    Cheers!

  2. You are a trainee teacher but not a student as such - though you may be registered with a university provider. You are an employee of the school technically and yes, unqualified so there are limited things that the provider who oversees your training can do. The school is technivcally responsible for your training.
    James
