    You could speak with your mentor, but as you will soon discover this type of disruption is the norm in a school. Make children aware of your expectations when they are with YOU!

    Maybe have a work with your mentor about that 20 minutes where you take them before your PPA and NQT time, can they not be covered by the PPA cover? My PPA cover is a full afternoon. I'd agree with putting something on the whiteboard for them to do when they come in for those 10 minutes. Maybe give them all an exercise book and have a daily challenge - write me a short story, describe the ugliest monster you can think of, draw me a house using 2D shapes etc. It would give them focus and hopefully stop the supervisor person from just shouting at them!
