Cross-curricular Roman planning

Discussion in 'Primary' started by Fred Flintstone, Jul 16, 2011.

  1. A shot in the dark, I know.

Has anyone used any of Caroline Laurence's novels (Roman mystery stories) in their Literacy hour? Thieves of Ostia or any of the others? Would anyone be willing to share their planning?
I would be most grateful and would be happy to swop anything we have done.
    Many thanks.

  2. We linked it to the 'information texts' unit instead and did lots of bullet points, subheadings and fact boxes. Seemed easier than trying to do fiction.
