liking the above idea as thinking about how to get more cross curricular maths in school

I know but I was looking through some old threads and this seemed to fit now and need for maths to become cross curricular and it had some great ideas in it
Don't think the threads now seem to have such good ideas in them
Probably because there aren't the same number of people replying as there used to be. Teacher forums aren't the same as they were in the good old days ;-)
sad isn't it as teachers should work together
Just seen this - if you're looking for things like the Marshmallow Challenge, there's a great free creativity activity 'cookbook' from WAAG in Holland with lots of similar activities, including a toothbrush and Yo-yo challenge.
