Creative Little Scientists

Discussion in 'Cymru - education news' started by DrACompton, Jul 20, 2012.

1. Creative Little Scientists [http://www.creative-little-scientists.eu/] is a European funded research project that aims to develop creativity in science and mathematics in the early years of education (3 to 8 year olds). As part of this we are conducting an on-line questionnaire to find out about existing practice in various European countries, including Wales.
In the past month we contacted over 1000 schools in Wales seeking participation but there was a problem with the weblink so we have not had any responses from Wales. I would greatly appreciate it if any of you would be willing to complete a questionnaire to share Welsh practice. The questionnaire asks about your knowledge, skills and confidence in teaching science and mathematics; teaching approaches; assessment; resources and some school details. There are 44 questions, mostly multiple choice but also a few open questions about your views on how creativity can be fostered. Your responses will be confidential, stored securely and used only for research purposes.
It is available in Welsh:

or English:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/CreativeLittleScientists-WALES-en
Further opportunities for partipating, including a forum and classroom observations will be available in 2013.
Feel free to pass this information on to other Welsh teachers of 3 to 8 year olds who might be interested. Many thanks for reading!

3. It won't let you sign in with Microsoft Office. That might be one of your problems with getting responses. See if a tech person can fix this.

4. Thanks a) for trying and b) for letting me the problem. I'll see if we can get this fixed. Argh!!
