Creative Curriculum

Discussion in 'Primary' started by jodilee, Apr 25, 2012.

  1. We teach through a creative curriculum approach and are about to begin a new topic called 'Keeping Fit, Healthy and Safe'. We try to begin each topic with an exciting, appealing experience for the children for example in a topic about Africa we set up an Explorers camp and sent the children letters and challenges asking them to 'explore' Africa and report back to Eric the explorer to help him with his exploring! The kids loved it and it created a real buzz about the topic! We want to create this again but are struggling to think of any exciting ideas to begin our new topic.
    Thanks in advance x

Off the top of my head, could you have some link with the Olympics? So how to get fit and healthy to compete and finish the unit with your children's own design for their own Olmpics. So some sort of letter from the Head to ask the children's help in designing it?
