    Dear All
I am soon to be leading a whole school CPD session on Retrieval and Memory.
I wondered if anyone has any ideas on a fun and active starter for the staff to get them motivated and engaged with the session ……. which comes just after Christmas.
    Thanks in advance

I am a lot more motivated and engaged when there isn't a fun and active starter

Yes! - with some fun/amusing items...

Alternatively, start with a break where staff can have a nice coffee, chocolate brownie and a chat with colleagues... That’s a distant memory. ;)

Youtube Generation Game Conveyor Belt clip? Get them to list as many things as they can, and then ask them how they remembered individual items?

    Or -
Play a Christmas Present memory game similar to 'I went to market and bought ...' with each person adding an item. Maybe a small prize for the person who can remember the most things to aid motivation?
