Covering S5s

    Does anyone know if schools are within their rights to leave S5s classes unsupervised?

    Of course they are. Right up until the moment that an unsupervised student gets injured / shown in YouTube doing something stupid etc etc etc. Contact your Union. It can be in confidence.

    Depends if they're all 16, I would have thought. If they're under 16 then they presumably have to be supervised. We still allow study periods for older students, don't we?

    I would guess most S5 classes will still have pupils under 16, at least until New Year.
