Contacting a school between an interview and hearing back from them?

I had an interview for a part-time post yesterday (three days a week; April start) and I'm waiting to hear back with their decision. I think it went well, however, I forgot to ask whether the post would definitely continue as three days a week in the following academic years - this is quite important to me as I'm hoping to study for a PhD in parallel to teaching. I'm kicking myself for not asking when I had the chance.

What is the etiquette re contacting schools before they contact you? How would this look? Should I just wait to see if they offer me the job, and ask then?

    Thanks!

    .

Yes, I think it would be better to wait for the offer.

But you also need to decide something yourself.

If they say No, would you still accept the job? You need to be sure of your position on this before they ring you.

    Nail biting time....
