Considering Isle of Wight? Free teacher taster weekend...

    Education Destination are running a free Teacher Taster weekend on 1st/2nd April predominantly aimed at KS2 teachers but equally suitable for other age groups. Everything is included from parking to ferry, transport, accommodation, meals etc. You just need to get yourself to/from Southampton. And you can bring a +1.

    - The Floating Classroom (Red Funnel ferry crossing, 160 resources most subjects mainly Geography)
    - The Model Village, Godshill (50 resources, brilliant stimulus for maths, history, English, geography + more)
    - IW Donkey Sanctuary (61 resources, lovely hands-on activities, majority science, PSHE, maths, RE)
    - Dinosaur Isle (66 resources, fascinating interactive museum, mainly science, geology, maths)
    - PLUTO (Pipe-lines Under The Ocean, WWII artefacts - history, physics)
    - Goodleaf Tree Climbing (16 resources but main focus is on self belief and responsible risk management)
    - Blackgang Chine - Land of Imagination (Theme park for fun but 62 supporting academic resources)
    - Tapnell Farm Park - brand new farming based theme park mix of learning and fun
    - Osborne House - Queen Victoria's holiday home and one of English Heritage's top 3 attractions
    - IW Steam Railway (heritage railway offering 84 resources in everything from science and history to engineering)
