    Hello all,

I'm the HLTA and Computing Coordinator in an Infant and Nursery School and I am currently writing a Computing Curriculum/Scheme of work for my setting. I was wondering if anyone had, or knew the location of, any 'Pupil Profiles' for children in KS1. Those children that are emerging, expected and exceeding in the area of computing. Any information would be really helpful.

    Thank you!

As a former LA adviser and long term ICT / Computing specialist teacher, let me first say - pupil profiles? YUCK! What a waste of time! Why do feel that you need them?

The two below make a good basis for developing your own view on assessment and the eLim site will be helpful with the SoW too.

I am also fairly concerned at a school giving responsibility for Computing to someone on an HLTA salary - I do hope that you have a "good deal" and aren't being abused. Likewise I hope you have a strong background in foundation and KS1 which positions you to take responsibility from the teaching staff who should be doing it.
